BSM said that, since the company set up its BSM Offshore business in September 2018, it further expanded its offshore capabilities with hirings of experienced staff.

The company added that a core team of ex-employees of Sealion Shipping, managers and operators of the Toisa Fleet, joined BSM Offshore.

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement said the team would bring extensive specialist knowledge of the offshore industry having operated and managed a fleet of PSVs, AHTSs, DSVs, CSVs, ROV support vessels, and well test vessels.

The new team will be based close to London and will be part of the BSM British Isles Ship Management Centre.

Matthias Mueller, managing director of BSM Offshore, said: “We are happy to welcome the new colleagues to our team of dedicated offshore professionals. Their track record in the management of highly-sophisticated offshore vessels combined with the power of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement allows us to offer safe, reliable and cost-efficient operations to additional offshore segments.”

It is worth mentioning that BSM Offshore was set up to focus on the oil and gas and offshore energy renewables markets and support owners and operators by providing integrated third-party ship management services specifically to the offshore market.

The services include technical management, crew management, newbuilding supervision, fleet maintenance and repair, lay-up solutions, travel services, and software application solutions.

The company is currently active in the offshore segment, providing services to floating production units, offshore, and wind energy units as well as flotels.
