Bestobell valves ordered for Gotland’s LNG ferry

Bestobell Marine said it has secured an order for globe and check valves that will be used in the fuel gas system on the second Gotland ferry that has been ordered at Guangzhou International shipyard in China.

The ferries are to be built for Swedish owner Rederi AB Gotland and when delivered, will sail between the Swedish mainland and the island of Gotland, the company said in a statement.

The second LNG-powered high-speed RoPax ferry is scheduled for delivery in 2018. The 200-metre long ferry will cost about $135m.
