Bestobell’s fuel gas systems ordered for LNG-fueled tankers

Bestobell Marine, a supplier of cryogenic globe and check valves for ships has received its first order to supply fuel gas valves for new build tankers.

The vessels in question are two 15,000-dwt ice-class 1A asphalt and bitumen tankers , which have been ordered by Groupe Desgagnés of Canada and will be built at Besiktas shipyard in Turkey, the company said in a statement.

The ships will be equipped with dual-fuel engines allowing them to operate on LNG and fuel oil, and will have 600 cbm gas storage tanks on the decks.
