BMT Opens New Premises in Kazakhstan

BMT ARGOSS, a subsidiary of BMT Group, the leading international maritime design, environmental and engineering consultancy, has announced its latest expansion with the recent opening of an office in Atyrau, Kazakhstan which will provide a local presence for oil and gas companies operating in the region.

The company’s initial focus will be to provide and further develop weather forecasting and emergency response capabilities to its customers and identify opportunities to expand the offering through the extensive capabilities available within the BMT group of companies.

BMT ARGOSS’ Leslie Gale, Programme Manager for the Kazakhstan and Caspian Region comments: “Our work in Kazakhstan is important to both BMT ARGOSS and BMT Group and provides entry into the Caspian region to support our oil and gas customers in this developing market. We recognise that working closely with our customers through a network of local offices, whilst supporting local content development is critical.”

BMT ARGOSS is committed to employing national staff in order to enhance the face-to-face communication with its customer’s suppliers, in their own native language. Leslie Gale continues: “We are committed to developing local capability and to support our approach we will ensure a robust training programme is in place to provide opportunities for staff to strengthen their skillsets.”
