Bourbon Gets Two More FMC ROVs

FMC Technologies has delivered the remaining two, in series of four, new Heavy Duty remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) ordered by Bourbon Offshore.

Two of these HD ROVs, designed by FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics, were delivered in September this year, with the remaining two announced for the fourth-quarter delivery.

According to FMC, ROVs are capable of operating at depths of up to 3,000 meters below sea level, and will be mobilized onto Bourbon’s dedicated fleet of multi-purpose support vessels (MPSVs).

They can be used to perform activities such as survey, wellhead installation, or asset tie-in.
