Canada Stewart Energy Submits LNG Export Request

Canada Stewart Energy Submits LNG Export Request

Canada Stewart Energy Group is the latest proponent to submit a liquefied natural gas export license application with Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB).

This request follows the NEB’s approval of four export applications late last year. There are currently seven approved export licenses for LNG projects in B.C. and four under review, including the submission made by Canada Stewart Energy Group.

The company is requesting permission to export 1475 Bcf/year of LNG over 25 years from a proposed land and floating liquefaction facility near Stewart, British Columbia.

Gas supply will be transported to the LNG terminal by an approximately 800 kilometer long pipeline that will be permitted, built, and operated by a joint venture company consisting of Stewart Energy and a third party pipeline company.
