Canadian Revenue Minister to Speak at Atlantic Marine and Defence Industry Forum

As part of the Government of Canada’s Atlantic Shipbuilding Action Plan, the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of National Revenue and Minister for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will give the opening address at the Atlantic Marine and Defence Industry Forum to be held today, April 26 at Halifax, NS.

The Forum will provide a platform for key industry leaders, government stakeholders and academic and research institutions to focus on growth opportunities for Atlantic Canada’s marine and defence industry that will be created by the $35-billion National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy.

The National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy is an initiative of the Canadian Government to build new ships for the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard.
