Carnival Panorama is the latest unit in the Vista series the shipbuilder is building for the U.S.-based cruise operator.

The 133,500 GT ship measures 323 meters in length and features 2,004 passenger cabins to accommodate more than 6,500 people onboard, including staff.

Carnival Cruise Line is scheduled to debut Carnival Panorama on December 11, 2019, when the vessel is scheduled to begin sailing from its homeport of Long Beach.

According to the company, it will become the brand’s first new ship to homeport in California in 20 years, sailing year-round voyages from the newly renovated Long Beach Cruise Terminal to the Mexican Riviera.

Fincantieri is building Vista-class units for Carnival Cruise Line and Costa Crociere. A further two units are to be built for CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, a joint venture between Carnival Corporation Plc and China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).
