Chevron extends Petrofac’s North Sea contract

Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services (EPS) division has secured a 12-month engineering services contract extension from Chevron North Sea.

The agreement, which has been held by Petrofac since 2014, started on September 30, Petrofac said on Wednesday.

In line with the contract scope, Petrofac said it would continue with the provision of engineering support to Chevron’s key North Sea assets including the Alba Northern, Erskine, and Captain platforms, as well as the Alba floating storage unit and Captain floating, production, storage and offloading vessel.

Petrofac also provides operations, maintenance and construction personnel across five of Chevron’s North Sea assets.

Craig McCartney, Director of Projects, EPS West, said: “We’re very pleased that Chevron has chosen to extend our contract, which has focused on the implementation of scalable engineering services.”
