China: Afai Kicks Off Construction of Two 40m Ferries

Afai Southern Shipyard (Panyu Guangzhou) Ltd. has officially commenced the construction of two 40m aluminum high speed catamaran ferries for Shenzhen Pengxing Shipping Co.,Ltd.

The General Manager of Shenzhen Pengxing, Mr. Chen Yimin pushed the control button of CNC machine to start the commencement of construction of the ferries. The representatives from CCS Guangzhou Branch, and the team members of Afai jointly witnessed the commencement of construction of the ferries.

This is a brand new ship type jointly designed by Afai and its joint venture, i.e. CoCo Yachts Holland B.V.. The ferry is with the overall length of 40.0m, overall width of 9.3m, passenger capacity of 199 persons, adopts two waterjets propulsion, and the line of superstructure is streamlined, beautiful, and extremely fashionable.

Afai will persist the high beginning, standard and quality, and make this project to be the fantastic product of high-end ship type for passenger transportation, which sails from Shenzhen to Hongkong and Macao.
