Afai Southern Holds Keel Laying Ceremonies for Two Vessels

On April 18th the keel laying ceremonies for two coastal fast rescue vessels contracted and built by Afai Southern shipyard, BEIHAIJIU 203 (ASA033) and DONGHAIJIU 202 (ASA034) were held at the outfitting workshop and slipway workshop.

Representatives from Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration, CCS Guangzhou Branch, Shipowner, Design Company and leaders of Afai Southern witnessed the process together.

These two coastal fast rescue vessels are the public welfare vessels for Beihai Rescue & Salvage Bureau and Donghai Rescue & Salvage Bureau, both are of north vessel types, and mainly used to undertake the social public welfare task of human life rescue speedily at coast of China. These vessels are full aluminum alloy wave-piercing catamaran, adopt twin main engines and twin waterjets, with large deck area, fine navigability, high speed and maneuverability, and with searching and salvaging capacity at night, can carry 200 rescued people, and meets the related requirements to fast vessel of CCS rules.
