China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Chunxing 1

Recently, the project of  “Chunxing 1 “ was completed successfully by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard 2 days ahead of the schedule which ensured that the vessel‘s back to her new route.

Main jobs for this vessel consisted of 3 generators, pumps in the engine room, piping, main switchboard and routine dry-dock repairing, each of which had its difficulty. During the whole process of the repair, the staffs of relevant departments brought teamwork and close cooperation into play.

The administrative staffs, such as the SRM, supervisor, engineer and quality inspector were in continuous working with the workers along with the on-site management, supervision and technical communication. Finally the shipyard achieved the repair and all tests 2 days ahead of the schedule.

CIC Boluomiao Shipyard, a subsidiary of China Shipping Industry Co. Ltd, is an integrated ship repair base in South China with 40-year ship repair experience. Now Boluomiao Shipyard consists of two sites which are Huangpu and Haizhu sites. The Huangpu Site has a quay line of 540 m, locates at the joint of Zhongshan Avenue and Huangpu Bridge, neighboring to Huangpforu Port, which is the largest port in South China. Vessels up to 80.000 DWT can be undertaken for repair and/or conversion; And Haizhu Site has a quay line of 332 m, locates at the joint of Guang zhou Avenue, South Circumference Highway and Luoxi Bridge. Vessels up to 16.000 DWT can be undertaken for repair and/or conversion, vessels up to 8.000 DWT can be undertaken for docking repair.
