China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Redelivers Repaired Vessel KASHI ARROW

On Feb. 15, 2012, MV “KASHI ARROW” was re-delivered to the owners two days ahead of  schedule. The vessel was hit by other ship and the forepeak tank plates and port side plates of No.1, No2 & No5 cargo holds were damaged. The ship-owner required that the works of sea damage repair, regular docking repair and the machinery equipment repair must be finished in 15 days in order to ensure the ship could commit the next voyage.

The ship arrived at the shipyard on the evening of Jan. 31, and the relative personnel from production department, safety department immediately went on board to check the work, made the safety plan & repair procedure and prepared the material.

During the repair, there were also two vessels at the shipyard that required a plenty of steel work too. The yard re-arranged the labors timely with 24 hours shift work. At last, all the work was finished two days ahead of the schedule and the ship went back on her voyage on time.
