CIC Jiangsu Shipyard Completes Sea Trials for Two Vessels

During last two weeks, CIC Jiangsu Shipyard successfully carried out sea trials for two new-build bulk carriers. The first 46.000 DWT bulk carrier bearing the yard number Hull No. CIS46000-05, built for Shenhuazhonghai Shipping, left the shipyard’s quay No.1 on May 6th 2012.

The second 57.000 DWT bulk carrier with the yard number Hull No. CIS57000/E-03, built for China Shipping Industry, left the yard’s outfitting quay No. 2 on April 29th 2012.

China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Shipyard is located in the by-river development zone of Jiangdu City, Jiangsu Province. The shipyard was constructed based on the standard of being the leading company in the domestic and the first-class shipbuilding enterprise in the world. The shipbuilding base started its operations in April, 2007. According to the concept of “excelsior Ship building, Digital ship building, Green ship building”, the company set up the modern shipbuilding technical system including cutting & processing prefabrication lines, section block manufacture, integration of hull construction, outfitting and painting etc.

The company became the first one which can build six large-tonnage vessels in one dock simultaneously. China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. dedicates itself to the requirements of the ship owners with container ships, product tankers, bulk carriers, chemical tankers, water floating devices and offshore oil drilling platform.
