China: CIC Lixin Shipyard Completes Repair Works for MV Mount Fisher

CIC Lixin Shipyard recently completed repair works for Bulk Carrier MV Mount Fisher. The vessel entered shipyard’s facilities on February 8th to receive necessary repairs of its cargo holds as well as general dry docking maintenance works.

The vessel, a handy size general cargo carrier, stayed at CIC Lixin Shipyard for approx. two weeks. This time the main work scope was the cargo holds treatment, general dry docking repairs and some of some painting works.

The old-aged vessel, owned by a Japanese shipping company, was in poor condition before entering the yard. Because Mount Fisher entered the yard just after the Chinese Spring Festival holiday there was a shortage of labor force. CIC Lixin Shipyard had to go throughout reasonable preparation works in order to ensure  Repair works will be done in time and in good order.

Summer DWT – 28,473 t
