China: Construction of Sevan Brasil Rig Progressing Well at Nantong COSCO Shipyard

At Nantong COSCO Shipyard, module hoisting operations for the SEVAN BRASIL, the semi-sub drilling rig, (including Drill Floor, lower and middle parts of the derrick, living quarters for 150 people, BOP carrier and Riser gantry cranes) have now been successfully completed.

The top priority among them were the Drill Floor, living quarters (of nearly 1000T), and the 90 meters high middle derrick. During the operation, the project team planned aspects very carefully and various departments have succeeded in very effective and close cooperation, which has ensured that the project has actively and steadily pushed forward.
