China: Jiangsu Provincial Committee Visits Zhenjiang Shipyard

On September 5, 2012 in the morning, Hong Qiang, the Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC of Jiangsu Provincial Committee and provincial disciplinary official accompanied by Party Secretary Zhang Jinghua, members and city city disciplinary official Sun Jian, and secretary general Li Xuefeng come and surveyed Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard, with great interest, Chairman Hong Qiang has visited yard show room and listened to the report of shipyard development and visited workshop and yard jetty.

Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Co.,Ltd.，founded on May 25,1951 at the foot of Ganlu temple, is the oldest shipyard in Jiangsu Province.Jiangsu LanBo Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd.,founded in December,2006,is a subsidiary company wholly owned by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Co.,Ltd.

On April 18, 2003,the yard moved to the Long Men-kou located the east of the Runyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge. The yard contains the area of approx 33000 square meters and has equipped with each one 50000DWT,20000DWT and 5000DWT shipbuilding slipway with the maximum lifting capacity 400t,also a 150×20m fixed quay and a 240×20m fixed quay with the maximum lifting capacity 30t.

The yard has three main engineering departments for hull,outfitting and coating,and totally 82000 square meters indoor workshops.The technique processing follows an integration operation on hull assembling,outfitting and coating.[mappress]
