China: Jinhai Heavy Industry Holds Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Skills Competition 2011

From October 31 to November 1, Jinhai Heavy Industry Cup-Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Skills Competition in 2011 was successfully held in the company, sponsored by Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee, Economic and Trade Commission and Quality Supervision Bureau.

200 contestants of 15 shipbuilding enterprises from Dinghai, Putuo, and Shengsi and other areas gathered together competing for the honor of “Top 18 Zhoushan Technical Experts” of 6 major shipping areas. 27 contestants of nine teams from three main production bases in Jinhai Heavy Industry, as the host, attended the competition and showed the strong technical strength with outstanding performance.

The opening ceremony of this competition was held in Zhongji Shipyard as a subsidiary company of Jinhai Heavy Industry. Large shipbuilding enterprises in Zhoushan such as Yangfan Group, COSCO Shipyard, Ouhua Shipbuilding，and Wuzhou Shipyard constituted 6 competitive groups including shipping electrician, bench worker, welder, assembly worker, painting worker, and lifting worker, fully showing the excellent technology of Zhoushan shipping enterprises.

This is the second time for Jinhai Heavy Industry to hold the Shipbuilding Industry Skills Competition in Zhoushan city. Once more, JHI is highly praised by the government and the industry with the superior ability to organize and coordinate, as well as professional management level, effectively enhancing the enterprise’s popularity and reputation.
