MC ZIM BARCELONA arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard for her 3-day voyage repair in the last ten-day of June, 2012. With the particular of LOA 294.1 x 32.2 meters, the subject vessel is a container vessel. The main work scope is the repair of the bow thruster seal bonding and the rectification of the deformed accommodation ladder.

The owner of the subject vessel is a Israeli famous shipping company, which has cooperated with CIC-Shipyards for many years. Since the vessel is a liner and her repair period is quite tight, the re-delivery date shouldn’t be put off. Adhering to the business philosophy of “The ship owner’s requirement is what we always pursue”, the yard made a fine preparation before her arrival and cooperates with the service providers actively. The yard has tried the best to ensure the repair progress could be carried out in good order. The owner is satisfied with the repair arrangement by the shipyard, and both of parties are expecting the vessel to be re-delivered successfully in near future.

Adhering to the business philosophy of “The ship owner’s requirement is what we always pursue”, the shipyard pressed forward vigorously, adjusted labor arrangement timely, organized the technical forces rationally and completed all jobs on schedule by continuously working overtime to ensure the vessel could depart in time as per the owners’ request. The owners’ representative highly appraised the supreme efforts of the shipyard and also was very pleased with the repair quality and progress.
