China: Party Secretary of Zhenjiang Visits Yard

In the afternoon of 28 July 2012, Party secretary of Zhenjiang Mr. Zhang Jinhua and first deputy mayor Mr. Qin Jingan visited the yard and supplied its front line workers with summer cooling supplies and condolence money.

Secretary Zhang was please to learn that the yard orders were extended to the next 2 years, adding that the confidence on the development of the company is best to fight the crisis. Zhang hoped that the yard can take the opportunity of industry restructuring in international shipbuilding and speed up the development and updating, and try to get more market shares. Secretary Zhang also spoke with some of the front-line workers and advised them of safe production and emergency measures under high temperature.

Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Co Ltd., founded in 1951, is the oldest shipyard in Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu LanBo Shipbuilding Co Ltd., founded in 2006, is a subsidiary company wholly owned by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Co Ltd.
