China: Repaired MV Liberty Leaves CIC Changxing Shipyard

Repaired MV Liberty Leaves CIC Changxing Shipyard

On February 18th, 2012, CIC Changxing Shipyard successfully completed the repair of M.V. Liberty. The subject vessel belongs to a German shipping company. The main jobs were general docking repair and the sand blasting & painting for cargo holds.

The yard’s arranged the schedule reasonably, well organized the labor force and overcame the difficulty of rainy weather. The managers, the supervisors, the business representatives, foremen and the subcontractors joined together with each other and cooperated with the owner pleasantly. It was the third time the owners awarded the repair project to CIC-Shipyards in recent 2 months. Through the previous cooperation of the repair of M.V. Banzai and M.V. Boreal, the yard completed the repair of the subject vessel smoothly. Although there was different opinion on the time of undocking between both sides, the yard tried the best to meet the requirement of the owners. Finally the vessel undocked and departed on schedule.
