China: Repaired Vessel ME TIAN REN Leaves Tianjin Xingang Shipyard

On Nov. 23rd, more than twenty workers at Tianjin’s shipyard had been working continuously for 12 hours, and successfully reconditioned ME TIAN REN, showing the service consciousness of “treating customers as sincerely as friends”.

“TIAN REN”, sailing between Tianjin, China and Inchon, S. Korea, suffered the main engine’s piston scuffed. In order to save time for owners, the shipyard decided to repair the vessel right away. After “TIAN REN” entered the wharf the workers who had been waiting on berth embarked on the vessel immediately.

Firstly they discovered the problematic cylinder and then renewed the damaged liner and piston. Workers insist on inspecting all cylinders of vessel’s main engine so they could avoid the same damage on other ones. Finally they completed all inspection works by the next morning. The tests showed that the main engine was successfully reconditioned.

We saved time for owners by working continuous 12 hours, and “TIAN REN” sailed from wharf on schedule“, said shipyard’s spokesman.
