Yuexin Shipyard Completes Sea Trials of 32m ASD Tug YX3131

Recently the 32m ASD Tug YX3131 built by Yuexin Ocean Engineering has finished sea trial successfully, with the ahead bollard pull of 73.5 t and the astern of 69.45 t. The tug’s speed reached 12.94 knots. Also, other test items fully met or exceeded the design requirements.

Applying Robert Allan design, the vessel is built under the survey of Lloyd’s Register and measures 32m in length with a moulded breadth of 11.6m, a moulded depth of 5.36m as well as the designed draft of 4.3m. Being able to carry 12 men, she can load 205m3 fuel oil disposable,37m3 of fresh water and 113m3 of ballast water.

Powered by two Cummins main generators with 136KW at 1500 RPM, the vessel is equipped with twin Caterpillar main engines each rated 2682BHP at 1600 RPM, driving twin Schottel controllable pitch propellers, which provide the the bollard pull of at least 70t.
