China’s ZMPC Delivers Pipelayer to Malaysian Client

China’s ZPMC has recently delivered a 3,000t shallow water pipe-laying ship to the Malaysian customer.

With a total length of some 169 meters, a molded breadth of 46 meters, a molded depth of 13.5 meters, an operating water depth of 7 to 8 meters and a scantling depth of 9 meters, the ship is applicable to various marine engineering operations at a water depth of 300 meters such as hoisting and submarine pipe laying, and is seaworthy in unrestricted waters.

“By fabricating a series of pipe-laying ships, ZPMC has accumulated brand reputation and mastered processes of pipe-laying ship fabrication, laying a solid foundation for building a marine shipbuilding system characteristic of ZPMC,” the Chinese company said in a press release
