CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for LPG carrier OU HUA (China)

The LPG carrier “OU HUA” was safely repaired with good quality and redelivered by CIC Boluomiao shipyard on Nov 20th, 2011.

The repair scope included the overhaul of the main & auxiliary engine, oil separator and pumps, regular docking repair and some hot work, etc. During the repair period, the owner added lots of machinery repair projects.

The staff fulfilled the repair projects in good order and stuck to the repair quality & safety. Furthermore, the yard also completed the extra repair projects without any complaint.

Regarding the characteristics of LNG carrier safety management, the yard’s safety department took a series of pre-control measures to positively prevent fire & explosion and worked out The Safety Management Scheme for LPG “OU HUA”.

The shipyard reinforced the ventilation of two big vessels to reduce the concentration of combustible gas. The persons in charge of safety took a gas-free test and measured the saturation of oxygen one time every two hours to closely monitor the concentration of combustible gas. They strengthened the on-site inspection, especially for the two big vessels and the fire operations round the vessels, so that the repair work was fulfilled safely.
