CIC Shipyards Strengthens Cooperation with Cardiff Marine

CIC Shipyards Streghtens Cooperation with Cardiff Marine

Following the meeting between Mr. Li Zhengjian, Deputy General Manager of China Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. (CIC), and Mr. Demetrios Koukoulas, the General Manager of Dry/Bulkers, Cardiff Marine Inc., a progress on the further development of cooperation on ship repair has been achieved.

This year, Cardiff has awarded three vessels to CIC-Shipyards for repairing. CIC Changxing Shipyard will undertake the repair of MV MALINDI at the beginning of April, which will be the first vessel from the owner to be repaired in 2013. As a Greek benchmarking shipping company, Cardiff occupies the second place (in DWT) among all Greek shipping companies, with a fleet of more than 100 vessels including bulk carriers, tankers, LNG carriers and drillships. In recent years, CIC has completed several ship repair projects for Cardiff, establishing good cooperation foundations.

The repair of MV MALINDI will include the routine docking jobs, the cargo hold treatment and various machinery overhaul activities.
