CMA CGM Hires Diana Containerships’ Panamax

French shipping company CMA CGM has entered into an agreement to charter one of Athens-based Diana Containerships’ Panamax vessels.

Under the contract, the 3,739 TEU container vessel Domingo would start working for the French conglomerate from September 15, 2017.

The 2001-built Panamax was hired for a gross charter rate of USD 8,500 per day, minus a 3.5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of eight to eleven months.

The ship’s owner said that the employment is set to generate around USD 2.04 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Containerships informed that the vessel is currently chartered to Nile Dutch Africa Line B.V. at a gross charter rate of USD 6,000 per day.
