CMA CGM Reshuffles North Europe-SAWC Links

French container shipping company CMA CGM has launched EUROSAL XL, a new service connecting the West Coast of South America and Northern Europe.

The group said that the service is a result of the fusion of CMA CGM’s services EUROSAL1 and EUROSAL2.

CMA CGM said it will deploy 9,000 TEUs vessels on the route, which are capable of passing the Expanded Panama Canal.

The first ship is scheduled to leave the port of Rotterdam on January 3, 2017.

Offered in cooperation with German shipping companies Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd, the new rotation will be as follows: Rotterdam (Netherlands), London Gateway (UK), Hamburg (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Le Havre (France), Caucedo (Dominican Republic), Cartagena (Colombia), Manzanillo (Panama), Buenaventura (Colombia), Callao (Peru), Puerto Angamos, Valparaiso (Chile), Callao, Buenaventura, Manzanillo, Cartagena, Caucedo, Rotterdam.

According to CMA CGM, the new service will now offer new stops at Buenaventura and Puerto Angamos.
