CNPC, Mubadala Petroleum ink cooperation deal

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with Mubadala Petroleum joining forces in upstream oil and gas investments. 

The signing of the agreement came during the official visit of Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to China.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly work on upstream oil and gas investment and relevant project services outside the UAE, specifically in conventional onshore projects, offshore projects, and LNG projects, according to a statement.

Mubadala Petroleum is a unit of Mubadala Development Company which is owned by the government of Abu Dhabi.
