The 401.5MW wind farm, being developed by China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), will comprise 73 MySE 5.5MW turbines offshore the Guangdong Province.

The project team is now working full-speed, despite all the current obstacles and challenges, finishing the installation of one turbine in four days, MingYang stated.

Construction on the project started in mid-2018, while the first turbine was installed in July last year.

The first batch of turbines began operating in October and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.

As reported earlier, CGN selected CCCC Third Harbour Engineering to deliver the jacket foundations for the project, install 18 turbines, and construct and install the jacket foundation for the booster station.
