Singapore - COSCO Nantong Delivers Installation Vessel to European Buyer

The Board of Directors of COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announced that COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd, has delivered another windmill turbine installation vessel (WTIV) “MPI DISCOVERY” to its European buyer.

The “MPI DISCOVERY” is designed to transport, lift and install wind turbines and their foundations. Key features on the “MPI DISCOVERY” include a 1,000 tonne capacity main crane and an ability to jack with 6,000 tonnes of cargo on board.

The delivery documents were signed by and between COSCO Nantong and the buyer on 24 October 2011.

The wind turbine vessel measures 138.5 meters in LOA (length of all), 40.8 meters in breadth and 10.0 meters in depth.
