Cosco Shipyards Bag USD 150 Million Worth of Contracts

Three shipyards owned by China’s Cosco Shipyard Group have won contracts worth USD 150 million to build one products/oil tanker and two cargo transfer vessels.

Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard will build the 22,000 dwt tanker for an unnamed Asia-based owner. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Cosco (Nantong) Shipyard and Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard will build the two cargo transfer vessels for an undisclosed European buyer, with an option for four additional units.

Cosco Nantong plans to deliver the vessel in the third quarter of 2017, while the second vessel is slated for delivery from Cosco Guandong in the first quarter of 2018.
