COSCO Shipyards Net Contracts Worth $400m

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announced today that COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co ., Ltd has secured a contract valued over $53.3 million from a Chinese buyer to build one 30,000 DWT cargo and training ship.

The above ship is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2015.

The second contract, awarded to COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co., for the conversion of one semi-completed hull to high end floating accommodation unit valued at over $170 million is declared effective. The unit is scheduled for delivery in 24 months.

Also, the group announced that Dalian yard has secured another contract valued over $180 million from an Asian company to build one Jackup drilling rig.

The rig is scheduled for delivery in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
