Cryonorm to Install LNG Fuel System on MV Eiger

Cryonorm Systems, a Netherlands-based developer and supplier of cryogenic vaporizers, said it has received an order from Koedood to retrofit the propulsion system from diesel to dual fuel gas/diesel onboard the MV Eiger, a push-tow combination from Danser Group.

The order consists of a turn key system. Cryonorm Systems will engineer, produce and start up the LNG fuel gas system, the company said in a statement.

Koedood and Cryonorm Systems reached an agreement to partner in this  project.

For this retrofit, two Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines will be used, the company added.
