Deep Sea Supply in double charter win

Deep Sea Supply, a Cyprus-registered owner of offshore support vessels, has agreed on bareboat contracts for the PSVs “Sea Spear” and “Sea Swift”.

The contract is for operations in Australian waters. The company did not reveal the name of the client, but only noted that the end charterer will be an international major subsea contractor. Both bareboat contracts are for 210 days firm plus 75 days option.

Deep Sea Supply says that the total value of the firm part of the contracts is USD 8.4 million.

The company expects for the bareboat charters to start in early December 2014.

‘Sea Spear’ is 88.9 metres long and 19 metres in the beam, and has a dead weight of 4,500 tonnes. The loading deck area is approximately 1,000 m2. She is equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system and a comprehensive electrical package delivered by Ulstein Power & Control. Fitted with Azipull 100 propellers, she can reach speeds of 15.5 knots.

The vessel ‘Sea Swift’ is a Ulstein PX 105 design built at Sinopacific Shipyard.

Main characteristics of the vessel are: 4.700 dwt, 1000m2 deck area, clean design, diesel electric propulsion and the X-bow design which significantly reduces fuel consumption.
