Deepsea Metro I Gears for Philippines Job

Deepsea Metro I has started mobilisation from Labuan, Malaysia for the drilling campaign offshore the Philippines.

A contract, signed by Odfjell Drilling, on behalf of Golden Close Maritime, with Galoc Production Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nido Petroleum, is for the Galoc-7/7ST well located in Block C1 of Service Contract 14.

According to Odfjell Drilling, who is the manager of the vessel, the one-firm-well campaign is scheduled to begin March 31, and last for approximately 3 weeks.

The Deepsea Metro I is owned by a joint venture between Metro Exploration (60%) and Odfjell Drilling (40%).
