The Government agreed on Public Service Obligation (PSO) reductions totaling DKK 13.2 billion until 2020, which will reduce costs of electricity bills. Among other actions to achieve this, the new Danish Growth Plan 2014 has postponed the construction of the offshore wind farm at Krieger’s Flak for two years.

Director of the Danish Wind Industry Association, Jan Hylleberg, has welcomed this move, explaining that this means that the wind industry can hopefully continue expansion of wind energy in a safe investment climate. He added that the most important thing for the wind industry is that there is a market in Denmark and that timescales are clear.
