Det Norske to Perform Underwater Operations on Jette Field, Norway

Det norske oljeselskap ASA (Det norske) has received consent to carry out manned underwater operations on the Jette field.

The Jette field is part of production licence 027D and is located in blocks 25/7 and 25/8 in the North Sea. The field is located approx. 180 kilometres west of Haugesund and six kilometres south of Jotun. Det norske is the operator of the production licence.

The field is being developed with a subsea solution that will be tied in to the Jotun B wellhead facility.

The planned manned underwater operation is part of the work to connect the two production wells with the subsea facility, as well as connecting this facility to the Jotun B facility.

The operation is scheduled for October 2012, with an estimated duration of 10 days. Water depth at the site is 128 metres.

The Subsea7 company will carry out the activity and plans to use the DSV Seven Pelican diving vessel for the work.
