Diana Shipping Agrees to Sell Panamax Bulker

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has reached an agreement to dispose of one of its Panamax bulkers.

Under a Memorandum of Agreement, signed through Diana Shipping’s subsidiary, the 2001-built vessel Triton would be sold to an unaffiliated third party.

Sold at a price of USD 7.35 million, the 75,336 dwt Panamax is sheduled to join its new owner by January 7, 2019.

Upon completion of the sale, Diana Shipping’s fleet will consist of 49 dry bulk vessels.

The combined carrying capacity of the company’s fleet, including the vessel Triton, is around 5.8 million dwt with a weighted average age of 9.21 years.
