Diana’s Post-Panamax to Work for SwissMarine

Greek dry bulk shipowner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Singapore-based SwissMarine for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the M/V Amphitrite.

The gross charter rate for the 2012-built ship is USD 10,250 per day for a period of about thirteen to maximum fifteen months. The charter commenced on March 21, 2020.

Previously, the 98,697 dwt bulker worked for Germany’s Uniper Global Commodities at a charter rate of USD 12,750 per day, according to data provided on the company’s website.

The new employment is anticipated to generate approximately USD 3.84 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, Diana said.

Diana Shipping’s fleet currently consists of 41 dry bulk vessels with the combined carrying capacity of approximately 5.1 million dwt and a weighted average age of 9.52 years.
