DMA to Increase Branding of Blue Denmark

As a follow-up on the Government’s Plan for Growth in Blue Denmark, the Danish Maritime Authority will – in cooperation with the industry, other maritime stakeholders and the Foreign Ministry – increase the branding of Blue Denmark.

DMA to Increase Branding of Blue Denmark

The purpose is to create increased awareness about Blue Denmark internationally. The efforts are to contribute to extending the maritime cluster in Denmark, attracting companies and strengthening exports of Danish maritime products and services.

The branding efforts will be aimed at foreign public and private maritime decision-makers. Strong arguments in favour of choosing Blue Denmark are: Quality shipping; a strong maritime cluster; favourable framework conditions for doing maritime business; strong competencies and qualified labour; as well as the development of high-technological and green maritime solutions of the future.

In the Growth Team for Blue Denmark, prominent maritime business leaders stressed the need to strengthen our joint branding. With the Growth Plan, the Government met this challenge.

Effective branding of Blue Denmark requires determined efforts by actors who join hands and keep focused. The goal is to create growth and jobs and this makes the Danish Maritime Authority give great priority to these efforts”, says Director-General of the Danish Maritime Authority Andreas Nordseth.
