DMEC looks for Business & Innovation Advisor

The Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) is looking to grow its team with the addition of a new Business & Innovation Advisor.

In the position of Business & Innovation advisor for DMEC, the successful candidate will assist the centre with innovation and capital services, for example regarding strategy and business plan development.

Also, the scope of work for the post will include assisting DMEC’s clients in securing public and private funding to realise their growth strategy, while further expanding the accelerator with the development of new international collaborative partnerships and projects.

According to DMEC, the candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset with good analytical and organizational skills, and a knowledge of Dutch and European public funding mechanisms – grants.

DMEC offers a full-time contract, initially for one year. However, in case of good performance, the contract can be extended, the centre said.

The deadline for applications has been set for 31 January, 2021.

DMEC is a not-for-profit service provider and project developer in the international marine energy sector. They support ocean energy companies in the area of demonstration and piloting, technical advancement and certification, as well as developing sound finance and growth strategies.

The international DMEC accelerator consists of seven innovation projects, covering the entire trajectory from concept to commercial deployment of marine energy solutions. In these projects, DMEC leads several groups of research institutes, technology developers and industry partners in the support of many technologies.
