DNO awards two-year upstream services contract to SGS

DNO, a Norwegian oil and gas operator focused on the Middle East and North Africa, has awarded a two-year upstream services contract to SGS, an inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

As a result, SGS will provide a range of electric line and slickline services for DNO’s offshore rigs and rig-less operations in the Persian Gulf region. According to SGS, the contract term is for two years and it started in October of this year.

SGS will provide DNO with a broad spectrum of electric line and slickline services, which will include: Reservoir evaluation logging; analysis behind tubing and casing; production logging; cement and corrosion evaluation; plug setting/retrieval services; perforating and pipe recovery services; various slickline services.

SGS CHS Global Manager, Humberto Ardila, said: “We are excited about the offshore contract award in the Gulf region for DNO. We will support DNO to operate in an efficient and sustainable manner by improving quality and productivity, reducing risk, and delivering safe and efficient operations.”
