DNS Holds Lunch and Learn (UK)

Decom North Sea (DNS), the offshore oil and gas decommissioning forum, will be hosting a lunch and learn to provide attendees with an insight into supply chain companies’ decommissioning capabilities.

The lunch and learn will take place on Wednesday, November 27, at the Palm Court Hotel, Aberdeen, from 12-2pm.

The event will include a presentation from D.E.C.O (Diving, Engineering & Consultancy Office), which has been active in offshore decommissioning for a number of years specialising in solutions for offshore infrastructure removal.

Two other supply chain companies will join D.E.C.O. Ethos Environmental Ltd will be speaking about “legacy” hazards, highly toxic and environmentally sensitive materials that can be found in all offshore installations, and how to manage them.

Wild Well Control will provide the day’s final presentation with a discussion on abandonment and decommissioning of offshore structures based on years of project experience.

DNS chief executive Brian Nixon said: “Our lunch and learn events are a great way for people within the decommissioning sector to network and share news of best practice. We look forward to this month’s event, which comes after a successful annual conference with Oil and Gas UK, which promoted knowledge share and collaboration across companies within the industry. We look to foster this dialogue throughout the year, and our lunch & learn events are a good way to achieve this.”
