Dolphin shortlisted for “major project” in India

Norwegian seismic survey company Dolphin Geophysical has informed today that it has been selected as the first shortlisted contractor for “one major project offshore India.” The title of the company’s press release reveals the deal would be for a 3d project.

While the company on Thursday said the announcement was made “in a public bid opening ceremony in Mumbai by a repeat client,” the company, ironically, did not disclose any details on the identity of the client, nor on the potential value of the project.

What Dolphin did say is this: “Dolphin plan to accept contract proposal according to our submitted bids and has confirmed vessel availability for two Dolphin high-end vessels for a total of approximately 9 months to commence project start in fourth quarter of 2015.”

The company did not say which vessels would be used for the project.

To remind, the company last week said it won a 3D survey contract without revealing the client, the location, the value nor the vessel to be used for the project.
