Drillsearch CEO leaves

Drillsearch Energy informed that the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Brad Lingo left the company by mutual agreement.

According to a stock exchange filing, Chief Operating Officer Walker Simpson has been named as Acting CEO as the company is looking for Lingo’s successor.

Simpson joined Drillsearch in March 2015 from LNG-player BG Group’s unit QGC. He brings 30 years of experience in oil and gas industry working for BG, Baker Hughes and BP among other companies.

Drillsearch also informed in its statement that it is looking to expand out of Cooper Basin while continuing to also grow the business.
