Dron & Dickson expands management team

Dron & Dickson, specialists in design, supply and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Lenny Collins as HSEQ manager and Bruce McHattie as UK wholesales operations manager.

Lenny Collins will be based at Dron & Dickson’s headquarters in Aberdeen and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with existing and new legislation in the UK, Brazil, the Middle East and offshore. He will also provide HSEQ support and advice to all employees.

Before joining the oil industry, Collins worked for more than 15 years in the aerospace sector, holding a number of senior engineering and HSE roles while leading manufacturing teams in the precision engineering of high volume, high quality and safety critical products.

Commenting on his new role, Collins said: “I am excited to take on this new challenge at Dron & Dickson and thrilled to be joining the company at a time of significant growth and development.

“The experience and knowledge I have acquired in previous roles means that I am well placed to support the management board with its operational controls, while providing all staff with safety guidance and support.”

Bruce McHattie, who has worked with Dron & Dickson for more than six years, has also been promoted from sales manager to wholesale operations manager for the UK.

McHattie has more than 17 years’ experience in the sales and marketing industry. Prior to joining Dron & Dickson he spent 10 years working with William Wilson Ltd in a variety of managerial roles, maximising company profits and regularly exceeding company financial targets.

McHattie said: “I am delighted that my contribution to Dron & Dickson has been recognised by this promotion, and I look forward to this new challenge which allows me to focus on our UK wholesale business as a whole.

“From my previous roles I have extensive sales experience, which enables me to really understand our customers’ needs while increasing company turnover and profitability.”
