DSME is to build the 174,000 cbm ship for Maran Gas Maritime, part of Angelicoussis Shipping Group, according to data provided by Asiasis.

The newbuilding is expected to be delivered to its owner by the first half of 2021.

The value of the contract has not been disclosed.

In 2018, Maran Gas ordered three identical LNG vessels at DSME, with two of them scheduled for delivery in 2020 and one in 2021.

Last year, DSME won orders for 47 vessels worth USD 6.81 billion, hitting approximately 93% of the company’s orderbook target for the year of USD 7.3 billion. This year, the shipbuilder reportedly aims to win orders worth USD 8 billion.
