According to the terminal operator Dunkerque LNG, the facility reached a new daily sendout record as it supplied 435 GWh of natural gas to the national transmission network, rising from the previous record of 326 GWh.

The operator noted that the maximum capacity is 520 GWh per day.

In total, Dunkirk LNG terminal supplied 8.5 TWh of natural gas to the transmission network, a jump of 324 percent compared to March 2018.

During the last week of March, the terminal unloaded three LNG cargoes, beating the previous record of two vessels in one week. In total, nine LNG carriers unloaded at the facility during the month, almost doubling over the previous record reported in July 2018 when the facility received five tankers.

During the first quarter, Dunkirk LNG terminal received a total of 19 ships totaling over 2.9 million cubic meters. Approximately 19 TWh of natural gas have been supplied to the transmission network.

The operator noted that during the first quarter, Dunkirk LNG terminal has already beaten the activity figures reported in the whole year of 2018 when 17 tankers were unloaded and some 14.3 TWh of natural gas were supplied to the transmission network.
