Dutch Gate terminal to receive LNG cargo

Dutch Gate LNG terminal in the port of Rotterdam is expected to receive a cargo of the chilled gas from Statoil’s Hammerfest plant in Norway.

The 147,980 cbm Arctic Princess is scheduled to dock at Gate on Tuesday, port data says.

The number of ships calling at the Dutch first LNG terminal has been increasing steadily since the start-up in 2011 (8 in 2011, 10 in 2012, 23 in 2013 and 34 in 2014).

More than 25 vessels that carry the liquefied natural gas docked at Gate so far in 2015.
